Stephanie is an interculturally and artistically focused experiential educator and consultant. Today, Stephanie develops and leads innovative educational programs, trainings, and community building sessions around the globe. She’s been at it since the early 1990’s.

Stephanie’s background and work experience
Having traveled extensively in 35 countries and on six continents – living in Australia, Thailand, Nepal, and numerous places throughout the United States, Stephanie has gained a unique global perspective, which when added to her diverse experiences working in not-for-profit and corporate environments, greatly benefits her clients.

As a change agent, Stephanie supports organizations and people in transition. She uses her extensive organizational development and facilitation experience to focus on increasing communication and building positive relationships.

Creative experiential strategies, “Theatre of the Oppressed,” improvisational theatre, visual arts, and literary arts – are all Stephanie’s passion. They provide insight and enliven discussion; this guides people toward clarity and, ultimately, success. Stephanie excels when developing start-up educational programs, including study abroad, leadership, mentoring, and service-learning.

An engaging public speaker, Stephanie is often invited to be the guest presenter worldwide to audiences at professional association meetings, university classrooms, and conferences.

Stephanie’s life experiences, including a few near death ones, have helped her to appreciate the joys that can exist in this world. Stephanie is passionate about inspiring “Aha!” moments, playing interactive games in the outdoors, living with awareness, introducing people to new places and experiences, and laughing until tears stream down her face.

Maketa Wilborn
Maketa Wilborn is a facilitator, trainer and artist specializing in diversity and equity training, team building, community development, and strategic visioning and planning. He is exceptionally skilled at maximizing relationships and helping groups transform ideas into clear action plans. Maketa achieves tangible outcomes through spirited and energized sessions. He integrates a variety of creative tools to support traditional training methods - from kinesthetic to visual. As a graphic facilitator he uses visual mapping and imagery to guide group process and create a visual record of the session to support reflection, sharing and action. Foundational to his approach to individual and organizational change are the concepts of intentionality and appreciative inquiry.

Maketa works extensively with educational and non-profit organizations and corporate Fortune 500 companies. He is adept at working with youth, adult and multigenerational groups. Maketa teaches graduate level courses on arts-integration and cultural competence and is an active presenter at educational conference around the U.S. In addition to his work with Creative Facilitations, he is an associate of the Grove Consultants International and a facilitator for The Drum Cafe, a global leader in interactive corporate drumming programs and events.

Peter Criswell
Peter Criswell is an executive manager who’s worked in education, arts, travel, tourism and events. This ‘can do’ kind of guy has significant experience with startups, organizations in transition, and entrepreneurial ventures. Peter develops and delivers innovative, engaging, fun, and effective programs. He works with teams both large and small using interactive techniques to help them focus and energize while identifying vision/mission, strategic plans, goals, and action items.

Peter serves as an Interim Executive Director for nonprofit organizations, shepherding them through transitions in leadership. He has managed large scale events in the U.S. and abroad with such organizations as Lincoln Center and Royal Caribbean International. Having worked in programs in 31 countries on six continents, Peter creates effective structures for tracking and following through on multiple complex international projects. Peter has been a full-time teacher and has conducted leadership training workshops at Bard College and New York University.

Peter has an M.S. in Leadership and Strategic Management with a focus in Nonprofit Administration from Manhattanville College. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bard College and a BFA (Bachelor of Fun Arts) from the renowned Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for ‘Reach the World’ and the Board of Governors for Bard College.

Kate Berardo
Kate Berardo is a consultant and trainer specializing in global skill building, leadership development, and diverse teams. She helps individuals to work more effectively internationally and organizations to solve complex cultural challenges. Her training experience spans a dozen countries and has involved working at all levels, from staff to senior executive, with individuals from over thirty-five nations. Her work has been the subject of media worldwide, including CNN's Business Traveler and the Dubai daily Gulf News.

Kate is the co-author of “Putting Diversity to Work: How to Successfully Lead a Diverse Workforce” and “Cultural Detective Self-Discovery.” She holds a distinguished Masters in Intercultural Communication from the University of Bedfordshire, UK and is a summa cum laude graduate of Northwestern University in the U.S.

She is certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Argonaut Online™ and is an active committee member of the Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research in the U.S. and Europe. Aside from consulting and training, Kate also teaches university international business management courses and develops educational curriculum. She is involved in research and development of effective training methods and tools and is a frequent writer, workshop presenter and speaker at international conferences.
